[Reproduction] [Reference] Ryuzaburo Umehara (Umehara Ryuzaburo, March 9, 1888 (Meiji 21) -January 16, 1986 (Showa 61)) is a Japanese Western-style painter.
Born in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Until 1914 (Taisho 3), he called himself Ryozaburo Umehara.
Incorporating traditional Japanese art such as Momoyama art, Rinpa school, and Nanga into the oil paintings learned in Europe,
A decorative world of gorgeous colors and a lavish touch. Throughout the Showa era, he reigned as a major figure in the Japanese Western-style painting world.
